Stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn and went looking for a "local" to have a pint. Looks derelict from the outside, couldn't get in as yet another "members only" pub in Ellesmere Port. Good job too !! the interior looked terrible - strip lighting in the bar, furniture lokked as though it was from the thirties. Stay away

The Horse and Jockey had seen better times unfortunatly was left to ruin , Until the new Landlord stepped in and brought it back to life . Its a community pub which welcomes all , nice to see the old place back to life with smiling , friendly bar staff , a fmily run pub thats in the heart of the community and very welcome. Well Done !!!
