What a fabulous environment, especially for little children - in terms of value for money it can't be beat. The enjoyment that the children get from feeding the animals, riding the horses and the petting corner would be worth ten times the cost. There is cafe, shop (where you can buy anything from a packet of crisps to home reared meats)and also plants. The fact that this is a charity run, I would think, mainly by volunteers only adds to the experience. This really is a little jewel of a half day out in the northwest.
